Higher strength = smaller file, lower visual quality. Compression works by re-rendering each page as an image and re-encoding it, so at high strength small text may become harder to read. Scanned/image-heavy PDFs compress the most reliably.

Will compression reduce PDF quality?
At higher strength settings, pages are re-rendered as images and re-encoded, which can soften small text or fine detail. Use "Balanced" for a good size/quality tradeoff, or "Light" if quality matters more than size.
What's the maximum file size?
There's no hard limit, but very large PDFs (100MB+) may process slowly depending on your device, since everything happens locally instead of on a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and it will keep working.
